It had just gone 2 AM and Raiden can not sleep. One. It's too damn hot. He's clad in nothing but a dark pair of sweats and a pair of socks. Though he's severely tempted to take the socks off.
Two. He became completely restless when the moon came close to being full. All he does is toss and turn in his bed.
These are the reasons he had decided to raid the cupboards down in the kitchen. That and he hungered for something chewy.
He had already torn his way through two steaks he presumed were meant for someone else. Because they had been cooked, placed on a plate and wrapped up in some cellophane. Which Raiden took great delight in tearing off to reach the food. He didn’t feel guilty. Whoever made it shouldn’t have left it there for anyone to eat.
So there might have been a note that read ‘Do NOT touch’. But what did he care. He was hungry, damnit. Steak wasn’t meant to be cooked and then left for the day after.
Despite having eaten his way through two large steaks his hunger still hadn’t been satisfied. Now, however, he hankered for something a little more sweet.
Raiden surveyed the contents of the fridge with half-lidded eyes, one hand scratching at his bare chest and the other reaching for an open carton of milk sat on a shelf.
Seconds later, chunks of milk went flying into the kitchens sink. A nasty snarl curled the corners of the Hanyou’s lips, as he lifted the carton in order to check the expiry date.
Tch. Out of date by two weeks. Who the hell was in charge of the shopping around here? Whoever it was needed their ass kicking.
Tossing the carton into the trash, Raiden returned to the fridge and grabbed the only food in there that he was in the mood for - strawberries.
There wasn’t any other fruit as sweet or tasty as strawberries. At least, according to him there wasn’t. Too bad there isn’t any whipped cream. But then, strawberries and whipped cream were only fun when eating them with another person. Preferably a female. A female on his bed.
Now that was something he had a hankering for.
Closing the fridge door, Raiden moved to sit at one of the wooden tables in the cool kitchen. He kicked up his feet onto the table and rocked back onto the chairs hind legs, though not before he had reached for the newspaper that had been left on the tables surface. _ _ _ ((OOC: So some info! This is Raiden under the influence of the moon. Except the moon isn't full. I'd say it's a day or two away. The moon changes Raiden completely. It weakens the power of the magic that holds back his demon. Which causes his emotions to go a little crazy. He becomes Arrogant/thingyy/Sarcastic/Rash etc. He also becomes a lot more predatory and animal like. Sort of like something primal takes hold of him. So I really wanted to try RP-ing him when he's in this state of mind. I think it'll be different & fun and will help me flesh him out a bit more. But I have to worn you that he can be a mean ass horndog. Hehee. Also when Raiden is like this. I'll center the writing. ))

((Don't kill me. I swear she's not stalking Raiden. I just LOVE writing her interacting with him! And this seems like it could be fun to get her interacting with this side of him... *runs away*))
Anemone was about as angry as she could get. It wasn't the fact it was the middle of the night. Or the fact she'd been woken up abruptly by her inner monologuing Deity. This was the reason:
jellyfish season.
It happened once a year, the tides turned enough and washed jellyfish very close in land. Fossu could sense tides turning and as soon as he'd realised this as happening, he made such a fuss about it it had woken Anemone up. He practically frog marched her down the beach, and into the sea - despite knowing how much she disliked the tentacled creatures - to be released.
It was technically wrong for Anemone to not like jellyfish, considering who she was. But she'd had nasty run ins with them before and this day had been no different. As she had been resting after releasing Fossu, who had started gorging, and continued to gorge on his favourite delicacy one box jellyfish had managed to get far enough in land to wrap its tentacles around her leg. Her skin was covered in a natural toxin that quelled the poison, like actual anemone creatures, so the poison wouldn't kill her like it would a human.
But it still hurt!
Hurt a lot!
And sent her limping back up to the school in the pitch black. Damp, annoyed, in pain and hungry.
She left Fossu to enjoy himself. She found she was leaving him to his own devices more now than she ever did in the village, possibly because she didn't have Yunka breathing down her neck ready to order her to summon Fossu at any given moment, and headed straight for the kitchens when she arrived at the school - despite the calf of her right leg telling her the nurse's office would be more appropriate. She could deal with the sting and the wound later, right now she just wanted something to eat.
After entering the lobby she took a sharp left down the hall, limping and squeaking occasionally, trying to ignore the irritating pain. Thats what annoyed her about jellyfish stings. They're weren't especially painful - not for her at least - they were just annoying! Like a sting from a bee or an allergic reaction. It didn't cause actual, unbearable pain, just unbearable annoyance that spread through her entire body.
She reached the cafeteria and the kitchens, making her entrance with a rather impressive kick on the door, causing it to slam back against the wall and back into place after she'd entered. The fact the lights were on didn't cause her to think there might have been someone else around. Just that it was handy and meat she wasn't groping around in the dark.
Stomping over to the fridge she swung the door back and looking through the shelves.
It didn't take long for her to come up with an answer to her hunger.
"Nothing." She muttered, closing the door with another forceful slam. "What does this place order everything in I mean-!" She kicked the door, only then noticing a few spots of blood on the floor coming from her leg. She'd been scratching the stings as she'd been walking and managed to draw blood it seemed.
"Great. Just fabulous." She reached for a handful of paper towels and soaked them under the water from the facet before she sat down in one of the stools and started tending to herself. Still hungry and still annoyed.
She dabbed around the small cuts her nails had made, clearing the dried blood and catching any new blood that dared to surface. As she did, she looked around the kitchen, as her mind reminded her the lights had been on. Her gaze landed on a familiar person, but unfamiliar sight and she felt a blush creating up onto her cheeks from her neck. Her feeling off annoyance was lessened slightly, only to be replaced by several more unnerving emotions. Embaressment, as he'd obviously just witnessed her little outburst with the door. More annoyance, that he hadn't said anything, and a little happiness for seeing him.
She opened and closed her mouth several times before deciding on what to say. A rather lame: "....Hi."

Raiden had been sat quietly, minding his own business when the kitchen door was abruptly kicked open. With impressive force, he noted.
An amused smirk twisted at his lips the moment his eyes laid on the familiar student stomping her way over to the fridge. Placing his paper into his lap, the Hanyou picked a strawberry from the tray sat on the tables surface, took a bite, and continued to watch Anemone.
She seemed pissed. And judging by the way her stomping entrance had been more of a limp, her leg was hurt. He quirked an amused brow when Anemone kicked the fridge. Her leg couldn’t be that sore if she’s going around kicking things. But then his sensitive nose picked up the scent of blood.
Maroon eyes followed the rather tall girl as she went about her business. She too had noticed that she was bleeding and was now tending to the injury. Picking another strawberry from the stash at his side, Raiden popped the fruit into his mouth, folded his arms across his chest and waited for Anemone to notice him.
She didn’t. Not for at least a minute, clearly wrapped up in her own thoughts. When she had, she mumbled a pathetic ’Hi’. Raiden quirked both eyebrows this time, his condescending smirk still firmly in place.
“Isn’t it way past your bed time?” He tossed the paper onto the table and helped himself to another strawberry.

Something seemed different. Raiden wasn't glaring at her for disturbing him, which was what she had come to expect from him. He was smirking, looking exceptionally pleased with himself about something. But there was definately something off about him. She wasn't sure what though.
He made a comment about it being passe dher bedtime, and she laughed falsely. "I don't have a bed time." She replied, not really in the mood for being baited and getting into another bickering match with the older man. "What about you? What's kept you up?" She glanced at him, pink eyes staring directly forward and not daring to let them travel any lower now the paper wasn't obscuring most of her view.
She removed the paper towels from her leg to see if the bleeding had stopped. It had quelled, but not ceased entirely. Growling irritably, Anemone tossed the wet and now blood stained towels over to the sink and hopped off her stool. She started rumaging through the cupboards, on the hunt for a snack and also for a first aid kit to bandage her leg up.
Her search was rather unsuccessful. The best thing she came across a packet of chocolate cookies though, which she took out to eat later in an attempt to make herself feel better. No first aid kit had she found yet, so she continued to rumage.

Growing bored of watching Anemone helplessly limping around looking for what he presumed was a first aid kit, he rocked his chair forward so that it stood on all fours and stood.
“Nothing you need to worry your pretty little head over.” He drawled in response to her question as to why he was awake at 2.30 AM. Crossing the kitchen, Raiden pulled open a draw and removed a small green bag that read ‘First Aid’ across the cover.
“Sit.” He ordered, indicating to the stool she had been sat on minutes before. After pulling out the necessary materials needed to treat Anemone’s injury. Raiden took the leg he could smell was injured into his hands, his maroon eyes surveying the damage.
This was the second time he found himself bandaging up her leg. Except this time he didn’t really need to come to her rescue. He could have easily tossed her the first aid kit and left her to fix up her own wound. He had been tempted to. But Anemone had spectacular legs. Legs he hadn’t failed to notice. Legs that went on for miles.
Legs he didn't mind treating.
Finishing off his work, Raiden aimlessly tossed the first aid kit back into the open draw. “You can thank me later.” He winked, and released the firm hold he had on her leg.
Moving over to the sink, his nose wrinkled at the offensive smell of sour milk and blood mixed together, assaulting his sensitive nose. He turned on the tap, washing away the sour milk, before grabbing a glass from the side and filling it with water.
His restlessness was beginning to grow. There wasn’t a chance he’d get any sleep tonight. Throwing back his head, he finished his water in one swift gulp and placed the glass in the sink.
Silently he trailed his way over to the table he had been sat at previously and reclaimed his seat. Picking out a strawberry, he rocked back and forth on the chairs hind legs, his gaze watching Anemone curiously. Waiting for her to say something.

Anemone noted that Raiden had got up. She heard the feet of his stool touch down on the tiled floor, but took no noticed as she continued on her search. She thought thata first aid box, in a kitchen, would be in plain sight and easy to find. Apparently no one else thought like this.
The only time she paused in her searching was when Raiden replied. Pretty. Little. Head? Anemone repeated, swallowing and blinking slowly. Okay, that proved it, this was not the Raiden she knew and... liked against her better judgement. This was someone else entirely it seemed. They looked like him and sounded like him, but it wasn't him. As she stared, he'd found what she had been looking for (in a completely obvious place) and ordered her to sit.
Whether because she was dazed, or because she genuinely wanted to, Anemone wasn't sure, but she sat back on the stool, curving her injured leg up into her lap. This she discovered she didn't need to do as Raiden appeared to know which leg was injured and took hold of it. He held it inplace quite firmly, which slightly unnerved Anemone. Not that she didn't trust him, she was just a little concerned about this 'new' Raiden. Regardless, as soon as he started tending to her cuts, she felt her markings starting to glow and cursed it.
It only happened on specific occasions, or when certain emotions were more prevaliant than others. At this time it seemed Anemone's hormones were taking complete control, and this was her bodies way of letting everyone know about it. Glowing.
As Raiden released her leg, Anemone released a breath she he had taken hold of her limb. He turned to the sink and she was quite grateful for the moment, taking the oppertunity to fan herself insanely to and to think differently. She focused on a not very interesting ladel, which she attempted to make seem interesting in a futile attempt to distract herself.
It failed. It failed wonderfully. Her eyes were drawn back to Raiden as he took his seat up again, and the glowing intensified. He was just sitting there. Observing her. He was eating and she was getting more and more worked up every second of uneasy silence that drifted passed.
Eventually, after what seemed like an age, Anemone managed to find her voice enough to break it, however uneasily the question came. "How's Fenrir?"

Glowing.
The markings that adorned Anemone’s skin were glowing a brilliant blue. This was the first time Raiden had seen Anemone glow. She had told him about her ability to do this but he hadn’t seen it happen. Until now.
“He’s fine.” Raiden replied, his mouth curving at the corners. He had the distinct feeling that Anemone wasn’t feeling entirely comfortable being in his presence.
Which meant he could have some fun.
Standing once again, tray of strawberries in his hand, Raiden stalked his way over to Anemone. “You’re glowing.” He pointed out, placing the tray of strawberries down. He circled behind the student, eyes studying the glowing marks.
“You‘re uncomfortable.” He stated knowingly, a thumb lightly grazing over a pattern. “Is that why you’re glowing?” he questioned lowly and circled back around to the other side of the Island Anemone was sat at.
Sitting down across from Anemone, Raiden helped himself to another strawberry and flashed Anemone a wolfish grin, his maroon eyes as intense and guarded as ever.
He wondered how long it’d would take for her to crack if he pushed her buttons hard enough.

"Good." Was all of a reply Anemone could muster. She was half focused on Raiden and the other half of her for focusing on trying to stop the perpetual glowing.
She kepted her eyes forward, viewing Raiden warily as he stoof up and started approaching. Her legs crossed, and hands folded neatly in her lap managed to hide her hands being drawn into tight fists. He had a point. She was extremely uncomfortable, and she couldn't put her finger on why. It was something to do with his demenour something wasn't right.
Feeling his skin glide across one of the markings on her bac, Anemone practically leapt out of her stool steadying herself on the floor. Skin-to-skin contact was not a good idea. Not while she was in this state. In fact it could cause some problems.
"That's not why I'm glowing." Anemone stated, sitting gingerly back in her stool. "Its quite a different reason actually." She murmured primly. She watched as Raiden sat down across from her and treated her to what she could only class as a piercing gaze.
She sat uneasily, planting her hands on the island top. Gaze down she could still feel Raiden looking at her, like he was trying to look through her and it wasn't helping her current condition. She wished she'd summoned Fossu back, he'd be able to keep this under control and also tell her what exactly what was going on. Or at least she hoped he would be able to.
But she didn't have Fossu right now. Just herself. And she was growing a little nervous with Raiden's behaviour.
"What is up with you?" Anemone asked finally, deciding that the silence was unbearable, and it was probably an idea to keep him talking maybe it would distract him enough from touching her again.

“I’m bored.” He answered simply, aware that her question was meant for him to explain his behaviour. He couldn’t though. He wasn’t aware that he was behaving differently. In fact, he only ever became aware of his behaviour when the consequences of his actions, under the influence of the moon, arise days later - once he has returned to his normal withdrawn self.
Ella had informed him of his reaction to the moons pull over him. She had told him how it did in fact change him, because of the magic tying back his demon blood.
Raiden normally made himself scarce whenever he knew the full moon was approaching. He didn’t want to hang around the school in that state of mind. He had planned to take a couple of days off - starting tomorrow. But, it was too little too late.
The moon already had him.
“Why are you glowing?” He pushed on, genuinely curious. He hadn’t expected her reaction when he had touched one of the glowing marks. It seemed he really did make her feel uncomfortable. Then again not every girl likes guys randomly touching them. Not without permission at least.
Raiden didn’t care. He could do a lot worse. He grinned at the thought and rested against the stools back, his fingers drumming against the Islands surface.

He was bored? And he was going to cure this by tormenting her? By acting different, like he was interested. To be fair, she found this different Raiden kind of interesting. Kind of exciting, if unnerving, but she wasn't sure how much she liked him in comparison to the usual grumpy Raiden she was used to. The one who just glared at her and told her she was asking to many questions.
Slipping off the stool, Anemone crossed to the sink, picking up the glass disguarded earlier by Raiden and refilling it for a drink, hoping that would cool her nerves somewhat. She replaced the glass in the sink after draining it of its contents and returned to the island the same side where Raiden sat, leaning against the counter top, rather than returning back to her stool. If he was going to try and unnerve her, then the least she could do would be to reciprocate. If he touched her well... she'd have to deal with that when or if it came.
She'd only had one experience where this had happened before. A boy she'd liked in the village had expressed an interest and she'd started glowing. Whenever he touched her while she'd been in her illuminating state had sent her hormones on the rampage. At the time she had contained Fossu who had managed to keep her under tight control. He had later explained that her markings when they were illumated were like special extra sensitive zones. He had said that most humans called them erogenous zones, and they only had a few. Anemone's body was covered in them.
"Its an emotion thing." Anemone replied keeping her explanation simple. He wasn't giving her good answers, she wasn't about to do the same. Supporting her weight on the island she hopped up and perched on the edge, dangling her legs down. "Nothing special."

((OOC: -Cough- Apologies for Raiden's naughty thoughts.)) ___ Raiden had watched Anemone, with heavy - lazy - lidded eyes, as she went about her business. His eyes trailed her form as she wandered over to his side of the Island. He quirked a curious brow at the vague explanation she gave about her glowing markings. That and now she was sitting by his side.
Both eyebrows shot up this time and the urge to reach over and trace his fingers against the glowing marks caused his hand to twitch lightly.
Picking out a strawberry, he only had a few left, Raiden bit off it’s end and chewed. He felt restless. He didn’t want to be sat here. He wanted to be up. Doing something. He knew he wouldn’t be able to sleep if he didn’t do something to satisfy himself.
And there are only four things Raiden likes to do when in his present state of mind.
Hunt. Eat. Mate. Sleep.
He couldn’t exactly go out and hunt. As much as he enjoyed giving chase to innocent, unsuspecting prey. There wasn’t anywhere for him to hunt. Though hunting for females was another thing entirely. That he could do easily. Kosaka Island was crawling with fresh potential after all.
Eating, he didn’t have much of a problem with. Food was easy to come by. Obviously not at the school, going by the lack of food in the cupboards. Which reminded him that he’d have to do some ass kicking whenever he came across the school’s food ’supplier’.
Mating. Well.. He’d have to get out of the damn school first. Here, he didn’t have a lot of options. Sure, Kosaka Haven had a lot of hot faculty members. Though the majority of them were male. Which was too bad, because Raiden wasn’t into guys. The only female staff he’d even consider doing the dirty with were Aislynn, Nimah and maybe Honey.
He had decided that the blonde art teacher really did live up to the old cliché that blondes have little to no brains. If she has one, he’s sure she doesn’t use it. Despite the fact that she has killer curves and that she’d probably roll over twice for him if her told her to, (he hadn’t failed to miss that she’s a total pushover), he prefers women with a little more sense to them.
Nimah, the headmistress, is easy on the eyes. Which is fine, except she’s a goody-two-shoes and a little too sweet for his tastes. Besides she hardly seems the type to jump into the sack with any of her faculty members.
Aislynn. Well he hasn’t really crossed paths with her much. He’s seen enough of her to know that he wouldn’t say no to her if she wanted some fun. He highly doubted that would ever happen though.
Then there’s Anemone. Long legs, sexy eyes, intoxicating scent. Too bad she’s a student. Sure he doesn’t give a Sh*t about rules, but he’d rather not be tossed out on his ass for messing with a student. Or even worse locked up. Sure Anemone looks 18. But for all he knows, she could be 16. Jailbait anyone? No thanks.
Groaning, his restlessness becoming more persistent by the second, Raiden rubbed a hand over his face and growled lowly.
I need to get the hell out of here.
He wondered why he hadn’t already. But then, the feeling that he had to do something hadn’t been as persistent as it had been earlier.
“Know any good clubs around here?” he questioned idly, not expecting an answer. Anemone hardly seemed like the type of girl who went out partying at nightclubs.
Raiden would go look for one himself if he had too. He had an annoying as hell itch. One he couldn't but needed to scratch.
He could head to a club, hunt for an attractive female, mate, dump her, head back to his apartment and sleep through an entire day.
Perfect.

Anemone exhaled quietly, letting her legs dangle as she could feel her body beginning to calm down. Raiden wasn't paying her much mind, more interested in his own thoughts and musings. And that helped an awful lot. Her markings were beginning to quell. They were still glowing, but not quite as furiously as before. Her blush had depleted, as had her annoyance.
She glanced at him as he idly chewed a strawberry. He looked annoyed. More grumpy than usual. There was obviously something up with him, but he wasn't going to tell her what it was, as she couldn't figure out what it was. She also didn't feel in the mood to ask questions. She could help her eyes moving lower though. Each time she chanced a look, they would begin to descend, and she would move her gaze away immediately. Maybe moving closer hadn't been a good idea.
She'd seen men topless before. It came with being a water Deity. Priests would enter the water with her to bless it, and its occupents, when the festivals came around. But this was different. Priests were older, and their bodies weren't as defined as Raiden's was. And Anemone didn't have stupid girlish crushes on any of her priests. Not the way she did with Raiden. Which annoyed her. It couldn't have been normal. To have a crush on someone who most of the time hated being around you. To like someone you always ended up arguing with.
Anemone chuckled softly to herself, her own predicament amusing her. She leaned back a little on the island stretching her legs out in front of her. She dropped them back down to their dangling position as Raiden asked about a club.
"Club?" Anemone repeated. She arched an eyebrow, thinking for a minute. There were a few. She knew of four down on the beach. And another two or three in the city, but couldn't recall names or exact locations. "There are a few. Some on the beach and a couple in town. I can't remember what they're called though." She shrugged and looked directly down at Raiden. "That bored, are you?"
Hopping off the island, Anemone started considering going back ot bed. She didn't think she'd be able to sleep, but it would probably be a good idea. She wondered what Raiden was planning, heading to a club. He must have had some energy to let off still - but she didn't ask. Looking at her bandaged leg, she tapped Raiden's shoulder, leaving her fingers laying on his skin. "How can I thank you?" she asked, head tilted to one side. "For bandaging my leg. You said I could thank you later. Well its later now, and if you're going to head out I'd like to repay my debt now, rather than have it looming over my head." She half smiled, "so... what do you want in repayment?"

Raiden wondered if Anemone was aware at all of the predicament she was getting herself into by asking him what he wanted as a thank you. He hadn’t expected anything from Anemone in return for his aid, especially since what he had said earlier hadn't gone without a blatant hint of innuendo.
Anemone was either incredibly gullible or a little tease, who was now baiting him. Raiden couldn’t decide, because her fingers resting lightly against his skin were a little on the distracting side.
“What..” He started in a slow drawl as he shifted out of his seat. “…Do I want…” he was stood in front of her now, moving forward, backing Anemone against the Island. “As repayment?” He finished, arms placed both sides of Anemone, trapping her in.
Anemone smelled good. She always did. But he hadn’t really had the chance to take in her scent up close before.
There wasn’t a chance ‘normal’ Raiden would ever think of getting up close and personal with Anemone. It would be highly unprofessional of a professor to get involved with a student. Except this Raiden doesn’t quite care. Sure, minutes before he had decided that being tossed out in his ass would be bad. But there's no fun in behaving like an angel. Something he sure as hell isn't. Besides he figured a girl like Anemone was more than worth it.
“You.”
He whispered suddenly, maroon eyes intense and serious. His face was mere inches from Anemones now and he could feel her warm breath tickling his lips. He was still for a moment, fighting back the overwhelming urge to catch pink lips in a kiss. Instead he turned his head and pressed a light kiss on her cheek.
Pulling away, Raiden flashed Anemone a teasing grin along with a wink, and reached across to snatch the last strawberry from the plastic tray. “Sweet dreams, princess.”
Popping the strawberry into his mouth, Raiden turned and made his way out of the kitchen.
He had to get ready. ___

At the moment he started speaking and moving, Anemone felt she had done something very stupid that could land her in trouble. At first hse had thought he was genuinely thinking over her offer, genuinely considering what he wanted in return. Had this been the Raiden she was used to, he probably would have asked for her hand off his shoulder, or a day of peace and quiet.
This Raiden, this different Raiden she wasn't sure about. But rapidly found out, and regretted her question the moment her lower back hit the island top. She was phsyically trapped. She was too tall to duck under his arms, and he was too big and quicker than she was, to even consider dashing out over the top with assistance from a leap. She was basically trapped, and while half of her was regretting her words and telling her to move her legs as fast as she could in any direction before things got worse, a more over-whelming side was making her stay still.
Raiden hadn't gotten this close to her before. She wanted to keep every moment of the experience fresh in her mind. She could barely hear anything over the noise of thumping in her ears. She could vaguely hear herself breathing, short, shallow breaths that seemed to tremble with the rest of her.
She stared at him, unblinking and he just looked straight back. She resisted the temptation to sweep his hair back with her hand, occupying the limb by keeping it firmly gripping the island top. For a few moment she had the feeling he wanted to kiss her. And for those moments, she wanted him to.
As he turned his head instead choosing to kiss her cheek, Anemone followed him with her gaze and inhale involentarily. He smelled good. She hadn't noticed it before, but he smelled different. A kind of heavy, musky smell lingered over him, and she liked it. A lot.
Anemone could feel her mouth hanging open a little as he pulled away and simply smile and wink at her as he went. She nodded noiselessly at his comment and watched as he left the kitchen. Moments later her knees finally buckled, and Anemone crumbled onto her haunches, a rather flushed and fluster glowing blue mess.
((In case it wasn't clear - I LOVE these two. XD And it wasn't lame!!))
