Raiden half rolled his eyes when Anemone mentioned that ground rules needed to be set. Raiden didn’t like rules. As far as he was concerned rules were made to be broken - Made so that he could have fun breaking them. He listened anyway, shrugging lightly when Anemone had finished. “Sure thing, Nemo.”
And then Anemone was kissing him. He responded eagerly, forgetting momentarily, his earlier predicament.
He growled the spilt second Anemone parted from their deepening kiss, annoyed that it had been broken and then had immediately whined when she tugged at his lower lip.
Anemone was being a tease. Which wasn’t any fun at all. He was supposed to be doing the teasing. He was supposed to be making her squirm and fluster.
“I was wrong.” He started, his eyes glaring briefly at the giggling girl stood before him. “You are clearly the monster.” he frowned, annoyed at himself for the sudden breakdown in his system. If anemone carried on with her teasing and he didn’t get this problem solved, fast, he was sure he’d implode.
His half-hearted frown melted when Anemone cuddled up to his front.
He quite liked having Anemone, warm and soft under his hands, nuzzle affectionately at his neck. It was comforting. He thingyed his head to the side a little, allowing Anemone easier access as he did so, and sniffed lightly at her hair. “You always smell so..” he paused, struggling for the right word. Sexy? Tasty? Mind blowing? “-incomprehensibly amazing.” He hadn’t ever picked a scent quite as unique or attractive as Anemone’s. It made him dizzy.
A faint, contended sigh passed his lips and he moved his head so that his chin was left rested on the top of Anemone’s head. And then he tensed briefly, his left ear flicking lightly. Someone was outside his door. Seconds later he relaxed with a heavy sigh, having caught the familiar scent that drifted under the door.
“It’s here.” he drawled as he slowly, almost unwillingly, turned from Anemone’s warm body so that he was half facing his door.
“Don’t you ever knock?” He snapped lightly at the figure stood in the now open doorway.
The figure stood in the doorway, blinked quietly, her large green eyes wandering from Raiden to Anemone and back again. “You’re never here.” She replied simply, still distracted by the scene before her.
“Bad time?” She questioned curiously, looking again to Anemone. Her green eyes studied them closely, as if she were trying to figure something out.
“Perceptive aren’t we?” Raiden quipped lightly.
It was then at Raiden’s snarky words that the young womans shoulders sagged, her expression slipping from wary curiosity to a carefree smile. She'd clearly come to the conclusion of her silent wondering. Raiden was not himself. Which explained the girl. Her eyes however, still remained curious. After all it wasn’t often Raiden ever kept any females around in his apartment. Not after having what he wanted from them. Unless of course they hadn’t done that yet and she’d just interrupted..
She visibly cringed at this.
Raiden knew what she was thinking in an instant and rolled his eyes. “Did you want something?” he pressed, annoyed that she’d intruded.
It was then that the females eyes lit up with a look Raiden knew all too well. He followed her gaze curious as to what it was that had sparked this reaction. Her eyes were locked on their clasped hands. Raiden felt the corner of his mouth tug down in a frown, he hadn’t realised that he’d reached to intertwine his fingers with Anemone’s.
He looked up quickly, ready to toss the unwanted female out on her ass before she became an unbearable annoyance.
Too late.
The female had closed the door, ducked beneath Raidens arm as he approached and danced her way over to Anemone. A large smile on her face.
“Hi, I’m Ella.” She greeted, her infectious smile growing.

When Raiden shrugged, Anemone had a feeling that he wouldn't be paying much attention to the ground rules she had set. She didn't mind as such, it didn't make her angry. She just thought the rules would be handy. For him. Handy for him to use, rather than break.
His comment about her being a monster made her chuckle. She nodded once in agreement while she was moving towards him. "You're probably right. I'm probably the worst kind of monster. A teenager. A female teenager, who is annoyingly curious and persistant and used to getting what she wants..." Anemone stopped herself there. She was meant to be helping him out, not making matters worse by letting her hormones take control.
Pushing her hormones to the side, nestled up against Raiden comfortably, invading his body warmth. She allowed her eyes to close, letting her other senses take hold. She listened to the sound of his breathing and relished the feel of his skin against hers. This closeness and intimacy was something she could easily become accustomed to. She 'hmm'ed in response to Raiden's comment about her hair, too content to try and say something back.
As his body tensed against her, Anemone was instantly on alert, concerned she had done something wrong. Again. "What is it?" Raiden sighed as the door swung open, and as he turned towards the intruder, Anemone half hid behind him.
The intruder appeared to be someone Raiden knew, if the way he was talking to her was anything to go by. A woman, possibly his age, perhaps older with big green eyes was in the threshold, scrutenising the scene. Anemone's gaze flickered between her and Raiden several times as their banter was exchanged. Well - banter on her part. Anemone thought Raiden was being a little unnecessarily rude... but this was Raiden. It did't seem to phase the new comer. In fact she appeared rather dumb to Raiden's tone.
Anemone simply watched the exchange silently, viewing the woman curiously, taking in her actions, tone of voice and the few mannerisms she could make out. She wondered why she cringed, but didn't dwell on the fact for long when she noticed the green-eyed woman looking down at the interwined hands at Raiden's side. Anemone noticed her knuckles had turned white and grinned at Raiden sheepishly.
The woman was approaching. Anemone's mind cooked up every possibility under the sun for what she could be approaching for. Maybe Raiden was married? Maybe this was a sister or relative? Or someone important to Raiden? She hadn't actually considered a perfectly rational explanation, which turned out, obviously, to be the right one.
So this was the infamous Ella, Raiden had mentioned to her. Usually with a tone that stank of annoyance or distain.
Anemone, no longer petrified of her fate, grinned back. "I'm Anemone, its nice to meet you!" She said cheerfully, dropping Raiden's hand. "Raiden's mentioned you a bit, its nice to put a face to the name, finally. You look after Fenrir sometimes, right?"
"I'm Raiden's-" Anemone stopped herself short. What exactly was she? They hadn't really put the typical titles to each other, so it would be weird to say 'girlfriend' and Raiden not have that same inclination. She changed the subject, "we were going to make pancakes, but Raiden has no mix. So we were going to order in instead," she peered at Raiden, "right?" Then back to Ella, "you're welcome to join us if you're hungry. Uh... and if Raiden doesn't object?" Anemone looked at him again, hopeful.

Raiden wanted to hang himself. Nothing good could come of Ella meeting Anemone. He glared at the petite blonde, his jaw tight. He could literally feel Ella’s excitement bubbling over, he could’ve sworn she was quivering, unable to hold it all in.
He groaned when Anemone greeted her politely, engaging her in conversation. Couldn’t she tell her to leave? Ella wouldn’t listen to him and if he was honest he didn’t want to anger her. Sure she might be small but he knew she’d punish him by tricking his mind into doing something embarrassing.
“Of course I’ll stay!” Ella beamed at Anemone before Raiden had the chance to speak. The small blonde knew that Raiden wouldn’t want her here but didn’t quite care. After all how could she leave knowing that Raiden - Raiden had a girlfriend. She wanted to squeal in delight at the very idea but didn’t want to frighten Anemone. She didn’t hide her excitement however, it was too much for her to control.
Taking Anemone’s wrist, Ella quickly guided her to one of Raiden’s couches. Once seated she turned to face the tall brunette, completely ignoring Raiden altogether.
Ella was aware that she was smiling as though all of her Christmases had come at once. But it couldn’t be helped. Ella hadn’t ever seen Raiden in anything close to an actual relationship. And by the way they’d been holding hands so tightly and by the way Anemone had been about to say that she was his girlfriend - it was obvious to Ella that this was more than a one-night stand. Way more.
“So - you and Hyde, huh?” she smiled and sent Raiden a long, knowing glance from the corner of her eye. Raiden simply rolled his eyes, at both his nickname (- given to him by Ella due to his ’split’ personality. Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. She found it amusing. He didn’t.) and at the excited glint in her eye.
“How did it happen?” she giggled on excitedly, “Did he make the first move? When did he make it? Before the full mo-” she stopped short, changing what she was about to say. “Was he acting normal or like the ego-maniac he is now?” she pressed on, her green eyes wide.
Raiden groaned loudly and disapppeared from the room.
"I'll have a chicken salad." Ella called over her shoulder, before returning her attention to Anemone.

Ella certainly was cheerful! And bubbly too. Anemone liked her already. She was the exact opposite to Raiden, always so serious and sombre, it was kind of refreshing. If a little confusing as to how the two of them came to be in aquaintance.
She followed without argument when Ella grabbed her wrist and took her to the couch. She sat crossing her legs, enjoying Ella's lit up expression. Something had pleased her. Something to do with Raiden no doubt. Maybe it was unusual for Raiden to have a girl over during the day? She struggled to think as Ella asked question after question.
Anemone laughed a little, "wow, you ask more questions than me! Between us we could probably talk Raiden's ears off..." She didn't mind the questions. Unlike Raiden did. Anemone rather liked questions and answering them, how else were you ever going to find out about people.
"Uh..." Anemone found herself struggling to answer though. It was hard to figure out when everything had come to a hilt. He had teased her mercilessly in the kitchen the night before then the library... well that was the logical place to say things started. "In the library at the Academy. I'm a student... and he'd stolen one of my books as a pillow. I stole it back and things kind of went from there." She explained shrugging her shoulders. "It was more exciting than how I explain it."
"And he was acting the way he is now... randy." Anemone grinned, eyeing Raiden over her shoulder as Ella called out her order and he disappeared. Anemone bit the corner of her mouth and chewed for a moment. Raiden would be fine - it wasn't like she and Ella were comparing notes. She looked back at the blonde woman and smiled.
"What did you mean by Hyde? I don't know him as well as you do but like I'm guessing that means he has a duel personality or something? He's been way more uhm... open - I guess - the last couple of days than he was before. Usually he's all angsty and grumpy. He's been grumpy, but not as angsty... unless you count earlier." Anemone physically shook her head, she didn't need to think about that now. It had happened, it wasn't going to happen again.
"So how do you know him? He's mentioned you, but never any history. He just seemed insulted when he mentioned you the first time and I asked if you were his girlfriend."

Ella listened eagerly, absorbing every little detail of Anemone’s explanation, even though it was short.
Her smile faltered partway through the explanation however. “Student?” She was surprised for a moment but only for a second before her smile returned. Ella knew Raiden well enough to know that he wouldn’t ever consider approaching an underage female with his not-so-good intentions.
Ella remained silent, only speaking when Anemone began her own questions.
“Uh-huh. It’s hard to explain but - I suppose you could say that he does have a split personality.” Ella explained whilst Anemone shook her head to herself, causing Ella to wonder what had happened between the two earlier.
Ella snorted with laughter when Anemone mentioned that she’d questioned Raiden on whether Ella was his girlfriend. She could picture Raidens reaction clearly in her mind and it only caused her smile to grow.
“It’s complicated.” Ella explained in response to Anemones second question. If Raiden hadn’t told Anemone how’d they’d met then she wouldn’t. There was too much of his past tied into it. “I mean really complicated. It’d probably be best if Raiden told you.” She smiled. Though she would tell Anemone if Raiden allowed her to. He probably wouldn’t want to. She wasn’t too sure.
Ella quite liked Anemone. How couldn’t she like the female responsible for managing to work her way into Raiden’s heart. Ella tilted her head to the right a little, unsure of whether Anemone knew exactly how Raiden felt for her. It was doubtful she did. Raiden didn’t talk about his true feelings at all even when under the influence of the moon. But of course Ella knew. She could feel his feelings, even whilst he was in the other room - fresh and strong and raw. It was why she was so excited, why she couldn’t stop grinning. Because this was actually real.
“You really like him then?” Ella questioned a frown marring her young features. She was finding it hard getting a read on Anemone’s feelings, which was odd.

Anemone wasn't surprised when Ella repeated the word 'student' after she had mentioned it. It wasn't even slightly orthadox for professors to date students (if they were dating - she really needed to clarify what they were) so it was only natural for Ella - or anyone for that matter - to question it. Though the comment didn't seem to trouble Ella for long as her smile returned, fixing itself into place.
Ella confirmed the duel personality theory and Anemone nodded. "Well that explains a lot." She said, mostly to herself. That made her wonder whether, when the normal Raiden returned, things would still remain how they were now, or revert and she would have to worm her way through his barriers again. Making a note to ask Raiden about it, she listened to Ella, curious to know if she would discover anything about Raiden's past from her.
"I understand." She nodded, and smiled warmly when Ella mentioned asking Raiden about the past. Probably for the best, no doubt it was fairly private and would make more sense coming from him. Or he would feel more comfortable telling her himself. "I'll ask him about it sometime. I don't wanna push though; he's a bit of a stubborn ass - though I'm sure you know that." Anemone grinned.
Then the blonde's question caught her by surprise. She should have known she would ask something like this. She was Raiden's friend, and doing what she supposed was the necessary checks. Anemone rocked back on her haunches somewhat, uncrossing her legs and pulling them up to her chest. She leaned her chin on her knees, hugging her legs while her eyes rested on the room Raiden had disappeared into.
After a moment's silence she nodded awkwardly, "I do. I mean... he's stubborn and a jerk some of the time, and a butt-head. Not to mention really hard to read. But... yeah. I like him very much. Underneath everything he's not so scary - he's just like any other guy I suppose who likes to cuddle up with someone and fall asleep in their arms." Anemone looked back at Ella, her smile small but blithe and her markings glowing faintly.
"Sorry, I guess it sounds kind of corny." She laughed a little, embarressed, "I care about him. I want to make him happy, even if it means I have to piss him off first in order to accomplish that." Grinning at Ella she glanced at the door, "I bet he's listening in right now. Or has his ears covered with something to block us out." She laughed and unclasped her legs sitting up straight.
"So," Anemone cleared her throat a little, running her fingers through her hair, "are you a meta-human too? Sorry, I hope that's not rude to ask. I just like to know." She smiled warmly, tilting her head to one side.

“I think that might be putting it mildly.” Ella said through a short laugh. Raiden had to be the most stubborn guy she knew. “Don’t worry. It’s a part of his lovely charm.” she joked, knowing that if he was listening, which he most probably was, he’d be grumbling cusses at her.
Ella was again hit with the urge to squeal and pull Anemone into a bone crushing hug when the tall brunette explained her feelings. “It isn’t corny at all!” She gushed, “It’s so sweet!” Raiden was cringing, she could feel it - his impatience and annoyance growing. “Oh he is definitely listening.” A loud crash sounded from the other room and Ella smiled.
“You could say that.” she replied, mysterious. “I can use empathy among other things. Get a feel of how other people are feeling - control and play with emotions. That sort of thing. It’s hard to get a read on you though.” She frowned again, a little annoyed. “It’s like the aura around your feelings is hazed.. I don’t know.” She shrugged it off and smiled again.
“But I don’t need to be an empath to see that you really like him! I just wanted to be sure, Y’know? I mean, I think he really needs someone other than me in his life. Someone he can really care for. Someone he can love.” She rambled on, her excitement spilling over. “I got a read on his feelings and it’s so clear th-”
Ella was cut off. Her large grin eyes blinked before she’d realised Raidens hand was pressed firmly against her mouth. His actions caused her to roll her green eyes, exasperated. “Mhhnhm!” She growled incoherently against his hand.
“You talk too much.” He said simply, as though he could understand what it was she had said. Ella made one futile attempt at removing his hand. It didn’t budge. Raiden smirked. Ella glowered.
“I want to be alone with Anemone.” His voice was light, carefree and his eyes never left Anemone‘s. His expression however was serious and even though Ella couldn’t see it, she could feel that he meant there was no room for argument.
Once Ella had heaved a heavy sigh against his hand, resigning in defeat, Raiden moved.
“Ass.” Ella muttered as she stood, her green eyes darkening in a half-hearted glare that only caused Raidens smug smirk to widen. He was at Anemones side now, his arms folded across his chest, he watched as Ella rolled her eyes yet again and wandered over to the kitchen area where she pulled open a draw and took something from it.
“You better visit Fenrir.” Ella said once she’d received what she’d come for, “He’s been feeling depressed all week.”
Raiden nodded and Ella smiled at the pair across the room, returning to her chirpier self - her sheer happiness and delight that Raiden wanted alone time with Anemone heavily out weighed the annoyance she felt for being kicked out.
“I’ll see you soon Anemone!” She called out, smiling brightly. “We have lots to talk about.” She finished with her own little smug smirk, clearly directed at Raiden before she disappeared out through the door.
“Pain in the ass..” he grumbled under his breath once she’d left and he twisted and fell back into the dark couch besides Anemone.

"That it is." Anemone agreed, nodding quickly. Charm wasn't necessarily the word Anemone would have used. But Raiden's stubborn nature certainly made things a lot more interesting - if also tiring for her. The brunette grinned as Ella squealed in delight at her, though winced when she heard a crash coming from the other room. She felt a little sorry for Raiden, he probably hated this, being able to hear them talking about him like he wasn't there, but it wasn't like they were saying anything bad!
As Ella explained her powers, Anemone listened intently, curious and also impressed by it. She had heard of emotional abilities, but not actually come across one before, so this was a first. "That sounds cool - must be handy." She was secretly pleased that she couldn't get a full hold on Anemone's feelings, not for any negative reason just that Anemone felt she was easy enough to read based on her body language, being able to read her emotions would just be an unfair advantage.
Her interest grew while Ella continued, speaking plainly that she was looking out for Raiden - as Anemone had suspected. She was most interested to know what "read" she had gained from him, but a swift hand over her mouth kept a lid on that mystery. Anemone eyed Raiden disapprovingly, though it was half-hearted and melted into laughter at Ella's muffled growl.
The intensity with which he looked at her and kept her gaze made Anemone think something serious was about to come, despite his easy going tone of voice. Despite the feeling of foreboding, she found herself blushing faintly, her the glow of her markings beginning to intensify. She inwardly cursed herself for this - she had been thinking she had made her way passed this little... indiscretion.
She watched the exchange between Ella and Raiden silently, and continued to observe Ella when she rose and went to the kitchen. "Bye! See you soon!" Anemone called back as the blonde disappeared behind the closed door. She laughed quietly at Raiden's comment, sitting back as he flopped beside her.
"I don't think she is. She's lovely. I really like her, she's so... different to you." Anemone stated, shifting in her place. "You seem pretty close." She added tilting her head to one side.
After a few seconds, Anemone shuffled over the seat covers towards Raiden, nestling up against his side."So how come you wanted me alone? Sounds pretty serious." She teased, grinning at him, "also... something Ella said, the duel personality thing. When you revert to being 'usual' Raiden, are you going to forget about this, or pretend it didn't happen?" Anemone asked more serious this time.

Once Ella had left and Anemone had curled up to his side, warm and inviting, he turned his attention to the glowing marks that adorned her skin. Moments later and he was lightly tracing one of the blue designs.
He snorted to himself when Anemone mentioned that she thought Ella was lovely and he and Ella were different. Which was true. They were complete opposites. His finger still traced around a blue marking.
“I don’t like to share.” Raiden explained in response to Anemones question. That and Ella could be such a pain once she became over-excited. He didn’t want Ella around right now. He wanted to be alone with Anemone. He had the oddest feeling that his time with her was numbered. He realised why when Anemone questioned how he’d act toward her when he returned to ‘normal’.
His finger paused and he turned his head to stare blankly across the room.
‘I don’t know-’ he’d wanted to say but didn’t, instead he looped an arm around Anemone’s shoulders and hugged her form to his side instinctively - protectively.
The way he acted ‘normally’ wasn’t something he understood entirely. Despite the fact that he could remember acting that way he couldn’t get his head around why he did. It wasn’t him at all and at the same time it was. It was why he had begun to think himself as having something of a split personality.
He had a vague feeling that once he returned to his more reserved self that he would be difficult. But could he go on alone after everything that had passed between himself and Anemone? He doubted it. He’d succumbed to her so easily, he’d allowed her in and he didn’t want to let her go. He wouldn’t. Except he knew that he was more stubborn when reserved - more thick-headed. He growled, becoming annoyed with himself.
“I don’t know.” Raiden said finally. Anemone deserved an explanation. Heck, he thought she deserved a meddle the way she put up with him. He wasn’t exactly what one would call normal. Even for meta-human/ Demon standards.
The urge to push her away burned at his insides again, irritating him. It caused him to question himself. To question his decision to be with her. Was it selfish to want to put her through this? To have her have to deal with him and all of his weird ass ways? Was it fair?
‘Shut up.’ he growled mentally, pushing the voice of doubt to the back of his mind. There were two sides to this argument - Right and Wrong. He liked to think he represented the right side. The voice of doubt was wrong. Being without Anemone would be wrong. He already knew that he’d become addicted. He’d win out over his doubt. He would.
“Do you want me to forget?” He questioned, his gaze still distant. He was offering Anemone an ultimatum. It was only fair that she decide what she really wanted. She must know that he’d be difficult, she must know that she’d have something of a fight on her hands when he returned to his other self. But would she want that? He needed to know.

Anemone brought herself closer against Raiden whille he idly traced one of the markings. This was more to occupy herself than anything else. She hadn't disclosed what the tracing the markings actually did, at least when they were glowing. And she didn't want to - that would no doubt be some information that Raiden would use against her.
"Aw, you don't have to share me." Anemone replied, laughing quietly, "Ella and I were only talking."
The ceasing movement of his fingers was the first thing she noticed, and she turned her head to see where his digit was stationary. Then looked back, surprised by the sudden silence. Raiden was staring into space. Her question about how he would be when he reverted had got him thinking. As his arm enveloped her slender shoulders, Anemone nuzzled against him silently, letting him think.
She couldn't imagine what was going through his mind at that moment in time. It was undoubtably difficult, having these two very different sides to the same person. The first, reserved, stubborn and with inner defences that would make anyone think twice. And the second, still stubborn, still defensive but not as much as the first side. Not as difficult to crack. Anemone sighed softly, glancing at Raiden as he growled.
He didn't know, and that answer surprised Anemone in the fact that she wasn't surprised by it. How could he know? They were, in a way, two entirely different people occupying the same body and mind space, it would be impossible to tell how the other would react.
Then his question of whether she wanted him to forget had her up on her knees in a moment, facing him sternly. "No! Gods, of course not." She was kissing him a moment later with an urgency that caught her off guard, her hands either side of his face, keeping him secure and close. When she broke away she leaned her forehead against his, her features creasing into a frown, "how could you even think that I'd want you to forget?"
"Listen," Anemone sighed softly, stroking two fingers down Raiden's cheek and neck, "anything the other side of you throws at me I can handle. I just handled the worst pain I have ever felt less than an hour ago." She commented, referring to their earlier spat, "I think I can handle the typical, jerk-head side of your personality with ease. I managed it before with enough persistance, right?"
"And if you get really bad, I can ask Ella for advice." Anemone grinned, planting a kiss on the end of Raiden's nose.

His face fell blank with surprise when Anemone jumped up onto her knees. He hadn’t expected her to react so fiercely - pressing her lips to his in an urgent kiss that caused a shiver to shoot its way down his spine and rock his body to the core.
He could feel her need and want in the kiss - her reassurance. It calmed him instantly. Quelling his worries and concerns for the briefest moment. It was over too quickly but it was probably best she’d pulled back, he could feel himself slipping.
Despite his surprise, Raiden felt pleased and was half tempted to breathe a heavy sigh of relief. Even if Anemone had wanted to him to forget, even if she wanted for him to leave her alone. He knew he wouldn’t - he couldn’t.
He brushed his nose against Anemones affectionately, an action he could see himself repeating in the future. He closed his eyes and listened to Anemone speak, concentrating on her words and the tickle of her warm breath against his lips. He visibly winced when Anemone mentioned how their earlier conversation had caused her the greatest pain she’s ever felt.
Raiden re-opened his eyes when Anemone kissed the tip of his nose and stared at her in silent awe. Anemone was pretty amazing. She willing to put up with all of his crap. Willing to put up with him. No matter how much of a jerk he’d be when he returned to ‘normal.’
He wouldn’t make it hard for her. When he reverted back he’d make damn sure that he wasn’t cruel with Anemone. He’d fight against his doubt and his worry - against his stubborn self. He would win.
It was Raiden who initiated a kiss this time around. But he didn’t linger on her lips, instead he moved his head to press a kiss to the corner of her mouth. Before moving onto press light kisses across her cheek, along her jaw line - cautious, not wanting to tempt the animal. still he felt the animal in him waver and attempted to ignore it as he pressed another kiss below Anemones ear.
And then everything happened fast.
He’d practically leapt from his skin when he’d bent his head to press a kiss to the glowing mark on her neck. The moment his lips touched her skin there, an electric jolt sparked its way throughout his entire body, causing his heart to beat so wildly against his ribcage that it almost hurt. He quickly pushed himself back into the couch, his hands gripping at whatever area of fabric he could get his hands on. His eyes were unfocused, dazed and his breathing shallow.
A second passed and he closed his eyes, inhaling sharply. Though this action didn’t have the calming effect he had hoped for. He was hit with the over-powering urge to take Anemone into his arms. Her scent, her breathing, her heartbeat - it was all he could feel, all he could hear. Even behind his closed eyes, she was all he could see. The animal inside him was howling now - roaring and clawing - attempting to break free of its prison. He wanted her and it took Raidens entire sheer will to keep that from happening. He didn’t know what would happen if allowed his demon free.
Seconds felt like minutes as The Hanyou remained disorientated. His mind tried to grasp at an understand of what had just passed. He’d never reacted to Anemone’s markings before. Not like he had just then. It had been the most excruciating feeling of desire and pleasure and it had sent him wild - animal and all.
“What happened?” He questioned through clenched teeth. He hadn’t meant to sound harsh but he was having a little difficulty wrestling against his primal self and that made it difficult for him to speak clearly.
He didn't dare open his eyes. Not until he had the animal under lock and key.

Anemone simply waited, smiling blithely while waiting for some kind of reaction from Raiden after he'd opened his eyes. Though she didn't received an audible reply, he just kept looking in some kind of daze at her. He wasn't making any snide remarks - not that she had expected him to - so she reasoned this was probably as good a reply she would be getting.
She relaxed when he kissed her, giggling softly and tilting her head to the side as he moved his mouth on a trail towards her neck. She immediately felt the change in her breathing as it hitched up becoming quicker but also more strained. And then the warm tingling sensation that started in her fingers, radiating from the trail Raiden was following.
Surely light kisses weren't meant to evoc such a reaction. Stronger, more intense ones she could understand, but light butterfly kisses she wouldn't have expected it. She wondered if this was getting a little too intimate as her stomach tied itself in a knot, but she knew Raiden didn't want to lose control, so simply closed her eyes and decided to enjoy it.
As she did it happened. Raiden kissed a marking and shot back against the sofa, like he'd been shot. Anemone replicated, only instead of clinging to the material of the sofa, she was up on her feet, and several paces across the room in seconds.
That should not have happened. The electric-like sensation that had sent a violent pulse through Raiden had reverterated into her. Her limbs tingled again, not warm, but almost painful and her markings were glowing more intensely. Anemone focused on Raiden for a moment, his eyes were tightly shut and his breathing was like hers, short and strained. She wanted to go over and try to help, but her sensible voice told her she would be more a hinderance than anything else if she even attempted to go over.
Anemone tried to get a handle on what had happened. Usually it was only her who reacted when Raiden touched one of her markings when they were glowing. In the kitchen the night before, and just then on the sofa where he'd just been tracing one of them. Raiden had never reacted before. She didn't know why he had, exactly. She had a hunch, but not a definitive answer,
Glancing at Raiden when his harsh question was uttered Anemone bit her lip before inhaling deeply and making herself stand up straight. She owed him an explanation, even if she wasn't entirely sure of it herself.
"Okay..." she murmured, mostly to herself as she contemplated how best to approach this. She noticed how Raiden still how his eyes shut tight and advised herself it would probably be better if he just listened and didn't watch. To make her explaining easier, she yanked her tank top up to her bustline, exposing an array of different shaped and sized markings - all glowing.
Walking towards Raiden, she took hold of his wrists and pulled him up to his feet. She spoke slowly, thinking every word before she said it, "my markings aren't just there for decoration. They have other purposes, like converting oxygen in the water into oxygen I can breathe. They're also the key to summoning Fossu... they also display emotions."
"The thing is, they only do it when there is one particular emotion prevaling. So if I'm feeling annoyed, it'll start of just a dim glow, and then the angrier I get, the brighter it becomes. Same as... if I'm feeling affectionate." Anemone planted one of Raiden's hands on her waist, between two markings on bare skin, "I'll be dim if its just affection, but the more ... uhm... aroused-" she said this quietly and quickly - "then the brighter it becomes. If you touch dull markings or bare skin it doesn't work. But a marking and... well... you're not the only one who has a side they can't control, I guess."
Anemone cleared her throat, and continued swiftly. "They also have another purpose." She felt her cheeks grow increasingly warm and even though Raiden's eyes were closed, she kept her eyes down, "you know how people have certain... zones on their bodies that when touched in he right way make them more... uhm... amorus? Well - when my markings are lit up like this... they all do that. They act as uh... what are they called, erogenous zones, I guess. I don't know how it works though. I've not really been in a situation where they do this all the time. And I don't know why that just happened to you."
Falling silent, Anemone placed Raiden's other hand on her hip, keeping his hands covered by her own. She stared down at the floor hard, eyebrows furrowing together and her features becoming decorated with a frown. She didn't want to be responsible for hurting Raiden, that kind of reaction was hurting him, and she didn't want him to feel that. She was hit with a thought and sighed to herself quietly, "maybe it would be easier." She muttered, musing inwardly.
Glancing at Raiden, Anemone thought a little longer before speaking aloud and dropping her eyes again. "Maybe it would be easier for you if we ignored the 'take it slow' rule. Maybe if we..." she motioned with her hands, "then I wouldn't be so tempting and it wouldn't make things so hard for you." Anemone knew what she was saying, despite her inability to speak it out loud. She somehow doubted Raiden would agree but it was the only helpful idea she could come up with.

Anemone taking Raiden’s hands didn’t help with suppressing the animal and against his better judgement, he allowed her Anemone to guide him to his feet - his eyes still closed. He was sure if he opened them he’d pounce on Anemone.
Grinding his teeth a little, the animal in him whined in protest - unhappy that it was being forced into submission. Anemone was speaking now and he refused to concentrate on the heat that radiated between the small space of theirs bodies. He refused to acknowledge the way her skin felt beneath his palm when she placed one of his hands to her bare waist. Instead he routed all of his concentration to his ears so that all he could process were her words. It helped.
He calmed considerably, his breathing slowing as he listened to Anemone’s explanation and tried to think only of what it was she was telling him. He hadn’t expected the explanation she gave him. He digested it carefully, imagining the reactions he could provoke from Anemone if he teased her - he frowned, quickly pushing that thought from his mind. It was the last thing he needed to think about right now.
He’d snapped open his eyes when Anemone mentioned that they should get rid of the rule they had created in the library. Raiden frowned. “No.” He said simply. He didn’t want her to think she had to do anything just because his hormones were a little out of control. If he had to struggle then so be it. He’d just have to make sure not to kiss any of her markings when they were glowing - at least not until he had his problem sorted.
He lifted her chin with one figure carefully and exhaled slowly when he met her gaze, still a little shaken up. “I can control myself.” He grinned, attempting to reassure her. Leaning forward, he carefully brushed his lips to hers in the lightest of kisses. The animal whined and Raiden sighed, pulling away.
“This blows.” He grumbled, his lower lips jutting out into a small pout. He needed to get fixed. Immediately. Before he did something he’d regret.
‘Why did I kick Ella out again?’ He needed her to have a look at his not-so-stable mind and fix it. If she could.
“You should probably head back to the school.”
‘Before I implode.’
“C’mon. I’ll give you a ride.” He winked at Anemone and turned on his heel, off to find his boots. _______ ((OOC: Sorry for the lame post. ;- )

Raiden's comment of 'no' to her suggestion did not surprise her in the least. And if she was being entirely honest with herself, she was glad he had said that. She knew she wasn't ready to make a jump like that to a full on physical relationship, she'd just made the comment as a suggestion. Not meaning she wouldn't have gone through with it if Raiden had agreed just that... she was glad she had some more time. Had she not thought it would have hurt Raiden's feelings, she would have breathed a sigh of relief. She let him lift her head with the finger beneath her chin and smiled weakly. This was hard - for the both of them. If had this internal struggle with a side that seemed to want her without reasoning. And she was finding it difficult because she'd never been in this situation before. The light kiss was probably about as much as Raiden could manage without him needing another time out. So Anemone savoured the brief touch. A giggle escaped when he pouted, "you're telling me." She managed a grin, promptly hopping up to kiss his nose. He suggested going back to school, and Anemone groaned. "But school is boring..." She knew he was right though. She may have been being missed, not by her peers but undoubtly by Fossu. Without a doubt she would get one Hell of a earful when she finally summoned him back. Sighing, Anemone pulled her shirt back down, "fine. Its probably for the best." She grumbled quietly watching Raiden go to locate his boots. She did the same, retrieving her half-leggings and boots from his bedroom, muttering all the way. ((Rwar... lame post is lame. Sorries. We could prolly leave this here and start another thread with them on the other board at some point. :]))
