Abigail had found that the courtyard was rarely busy at this time of day. Right now, in the early morning, and with a cool breeze bending the grass slightly around her. She giggled a little, and leaned back slightly on her breathing, living, 'pillow' Wolf.
The black dog-wolf mix only had his thick, silky, black fur broken by the white of his ear tips and tail. He was usually hidden...somewhere. Even Abigail wasn't sure where he hid within the school, but he did.
Giggling softly, she hugged Bun-bun to her chest, before leaping up into the air. The action caused Wolf to huff slightly, and she pat his head. "It's not so bad Wolf!" she stated, sounding a little sleepy.
She wasn't, but the slight trance state made her sound sleepy.
Her friend let out a soft sigh and heaved himself up off the ground to follow her in whatever it was she was going to do.

Early moring was the perfect time to take a stroll through Kosaka's majestic courtyard. It wasn't busy and the land was quiet. There was a cool and gentle breeze blowing around. Chris sighed contentedly, and walked on, his hands in his pockets.
He sat down on the cool marble of one of the fountains at the school. The water was flowing, and Chris could feel it as he focused on it, going into a bit of a trance. He was focused on the flow of the water, the movements, the energy within the water...
He soon blinked after a good moment. His eyes had become dry, and he blinked several times to get the moisture back in them. Chris smiled at himself, and got back up to walk around again, his hands back in his pockets.
He was wearing a solid black jacket over a red tee shirt, that had a design on it supporting one of his favorite college American football teams. He wore a plain pair black flip-flops and a pair of dark blue jeans.
Chris whistled a little tune and soon, he passed another person; a blonde haired girl that was holding a stuffed bunny.
She couldn't have been older than 12... He smiled at her brightly, and waved, before continuing on, before his eyes were focused on a wolfish looking dog.
A chill ran through him. Dogs generally either loved him to death or hated him. He tried to play it cool and just ignored the rather... large.... dog...

Abigail saw the waving guy, who looked rather tall, but who wasn't compared to her? Unfortunately, Wolf noticed to, and let out a rather gruff growl sound. "Knock it off Wolf," she stated, before skipping over to the new guy, Bun-bun in hand, and Wolf followed, trotting behind her.
"Hi! I'm Abigail!" she greeted, Wolf staying about one yard behind the young girl.
She giggled softly, and smiled brightly at him. Many people said she had no right to be so cheerful so early in the morning. Wolf did not look happy, his ears slightly pinned back, but he wasn't leaving Abigail. She already had been too far away from him in his opinion for him to leave her right now.

The dog growled at him, which Chris predicted as much, but what he didn't expect was for the young girl to come over to the dog skipping. And telling it to be quiet. And it listened to her. The dog stayed behind the girl, looking very protective of the young blond and giving Chris a rather mean look. Or at least, the dog looked like it was giving him a mean look.
"It's nice to meet you, Abigail. My name's Chris. I assume that this is your dog? Didn't you call him 'Wolf'?" he asked, his tone filled with his usual curiousity.
Chris glanced at the wolfish dog again. The name fit him, at least. e was also wondering about the stuffed rabbit.
Chris was the kind of person who noticed odd things and was curious about every single oddity he could spot. Some of his old teachers equated him to a sponge with this trait.

Abigail laughed a little over Chris calling Wolf 'her's'. She shook her head a little, and answered, "I guess you could say that. Wolf doesn't really 'belong' to anyone. He's too independent for that. But, for all intents and purposes, he's mine."
It was the 'simplest' way for Abigail to put it. She didn't mention the fact that Wolf was part...wolf. 'No one needs to really know that,' she thought, and grinned.
Then, she held up the stuffed bunny rabbit in front of her face, and said, "This is Bun-bun! He's the friend who's been around the longest."

Chris nodded, closing his eyes. When he opened his eyes again, he spoke.
"I'm more of a cat person. Dogs either hate me or love me. Cats just want all your attention. At least my cat at home was like that. What breed is he? He's a rather wolfish looking dog. Guess that's where he got his name, huh?" he smiled at the dog.
Chris blinked, though, in surprise, as his short attention span was drawn to the stuffed rabbit.
"Why, hello there, Bunbun. Pleasure to meet one as bouncy as yourself!" Chris said, bowing deeply.
He was reminded of Callan, his little sister. She had a stuffed frog she named Jebidiah Gilligan Toadmeister the Eighth. She carried it around until she was about eight, and she still slept with the beat up little thing. It was rather cutesy.

Abigail laughed openly over his change of topic, then politely brought it down to a more polite level. "Well, to answer your first question, he's wolf and something else. Auntie thinks he's mixed with German Shepard, because he still has a pointed look, or it could be Husky. But don't worry, he doesn't like anyone really...except me of course!" she answered his first question, while having Bun-bun do a weird dance thing while she explained.
She then twirled around in a circle, before focusing on Chris. "Yep-yep! Bouncy, bouncy! But that's not why Bun-bun is still with me!" she stated, with a giggle.

Chris heard that the canine was a wolf and something else, but his attention was moved to the dancing bunny plushie.
"Just as long as he's a nice doggie, it should be fine,"he said, his attention coming back to the girl as he became bored with the rabbit. He apparently tuned in just in time to catch the last part of her explanation.
Chris's eyes followed the girl's movement as she twirled around. She seemed to keep her attention on him, however, so Chris didn't feel like he was being ignored.
"Nah. It's because he's a cute little thing, right? The bunny, I mean. Eh, it doesn't matter to me why you have him. Ya know? "
Chris shrugged and sighed. Talking to the girl had made him miss both Callan and Allan, his twin little siblings.
"Anyway, what are you doin out so early? Most people are still asleep at 7 o clock in the morning."

Abigail's fingers tightened slightly when he began to question why she still carried Bun-bun around, but relaxed when he dropped the subject. She wasn't sure if she wanted to go through why she kept the stuffed bunny with her twenty-four seven. Even her face had looked slightly nervous, and even a little panicked.
Smiling at Chris, never realizing she had looked nervous, or that it had slipped through. At his question, she giggled softly, and answered, "This is the best time for me. Right about now, I don't feel stressed, and it's just me...with the other early birds!"
She wasn't going to explain that this was the only way Wolf was going to be this close to her. He just didn't like people, so she let him hide when he wanted.

Chris saw the panicked reaction to the talk about her bunny. He had been around the school long enough to know that his case was rather rare; most families treated their metahuman relatives like Sh*t. She had obviously gone through some kind of abuse or something and the bunny was probably her securtiy blanket. Or something. Maybe she just had a reason to looked panicked.
The elementalist nodded at the girl, agreeing to the greatness that was the morning, glad that she was smiling and giggling. He had known her all for maybe 5 minutes now, and he already knew a sad, panicked, stressed look did not fit her.
"Yeah. Morning is quite wonderful. I like the coolness of the air and all. It's nice, yeah?" he said, as a half statement and a half question.
His hands came out of his pockets and found their way to the back of his head, cradling his noggin and giving his something to relax on, sort of.
"I think the best part is the quiet, though. It's like it's easier to be part of nature when less people are around. I dunno. I don't really know how to explain my dorkiness to other people."

Abigail nodded in more agreement about the quiet. "Yes. I love the early morning, especially for the quietness, and to visit Wolf of course. Wherever he hides himself during the day, he hides himself well," she stated, and walked over to Wolf, giving him a friendly rub on the head that sent his tail wagging happily.
She smiled brightly at Chris, and added, "Of course, the quietness right now...it's a good quietness, especially for me. Those who sleep aren't very loud."
Shrugging a little, she just gently nudged Wolf so he sat down. It was easier for him to relax, and he was big enough he still looked dangerous.
Even with his eyes half closed as she pet him, tail wagging happily.
