Name: Silver Kinnis
Alias: None
Age: Appears 20 or so. Actually 775 years old.
Birthday: March 7th
Race: Demi-Demon
Hometown: The underworld, but spent most of her life in Stratford-upon-Avon, England
Grade: First year, college
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight.
Appearance: Silver stands about 5'5" tall. She has long, straight chestnut hair and dark brown eyes. She usually wears her hair back in two wrapped braids, the wraps differ from day-to-day in colour, but she generally prefers to wear them blue. She has three small tattoos located around her body. Three small stars on her upper right hand shoulder blade, a cresant moon on her lover left spine, and a trail of leaves down her right foot from the ankle. She's pale skinned, and doesn't tan.
Generally Silver wears brighter colours on top and darker colours below. Grey, black or dark blue jeans, and a bright, more luminant top, which is generally off the shoulder. She always wears a choker, and a double axe-head necklace, that she can cause to grow into a full size axe if she ever needs to use it as a weapon. She tends to wear net clothes for comfort and usually more that one top. The top underneath her more brightly coloured one is usually grey, white or black. She has a set of nasty scars on her back directly where she shoulder blades are. These are where her wings have sprouted once before. Though Silver doesn’t remember, the Gargoyles have told her that her wings are fairly large, and mostly black. They are boney, and the skin which should cover them is torn and rotting in places. Bizzarely though the joint from her shoulder blades to the wing joint is feathered with white feathers of an Angel, a remnant of her father’s legacy.
More often that not, Silver is joined by a shoulder companion, a small juvenile Gargoyle named Thanoss. He's less than a foot in height and grey in colour with yellow, eagle-like eyes. He has horns, and small wings which enable him to fly. He never ventures far from Silver, and Silver is always talking to him.

Personality:Silver comes across as extremely brash, harsh and unkind. She's pretty sarcastic when she wants to be and doesn't have a lot of patience for people. Because of this people tend to avoid her, but she has reason for her attitude problem. Beyond that, Silver is infinately wise, she's good to have around if you're ever in an arguement because she has no problem seeing things from two different points of view. And she's blunt in her answers, she doesn't tip-toe around people to spare their feelings. If she thinks someone is up their own ass, she tells them so.
When people do befriend Silver, on the rare occasions that they have, they find her to be a pretty warm character. She's loyal, warm hearted and loving, and she gives a lot of time to the people she cares about, her honesty even gets some tact to it!
She's a strong person by nature, she has to be. Being one of the most revered creatures of the Underworld takes some doing. But she's not strong in the sense of being courageous. She's strong in the physical and powerful sense, she's never had the need to show courage or anything of the sort, so doesn't know if she is or not. At most she's has a wreckless abadon for her own safety, and the safety of others. She likes to be left alone, but does sometimes try to socialise.
While Silver does try to socialise, she finds it difficult, however, due to her past with humans. Its more common for her to congregate with Gargoyles and the like, as she knows she can trust them. In a way, Silver is petrified of her powers. The stories she's been told of what DemiDemons can fully accomplish when their powers are completely unleashed are legendary, and she’s seen what’s she’s done when she’s entered the ‘beserk’ state, and does not want to get that far again.
Silver’s fairly closed off about her personal life and her history. She doesn’t want anyone to know what she’s done, and also the root of her origins as she’s never sure who’s in league with Lucifer. Despite she feels quite safe at times, she likes to keep herself guarded and aloof.
Greatest Fear: Completely loosing control of her powers, entering the beserk stage and reprising what happened in her past.
Most Important Secret: That she likes a good trashy romantic novel
Character Background: Technicnally, Silver should have never been born. But she was. When the battle between God and Lucifer broke out Silver's father was a seraphim, who sat on the sidelines watching the battle (along with many other angels and demons) waiting to see who would win, and then going to side with the winner.
It surprised no one when God won. But, God had a different plan for those who had chosen not to fight. He banished them to Hell, giving them as a loosing present to Lucifer to do with as he wished. Loi'qu, Silver's father was among those sent to Lucifer. He showed immense resistance to the hate and evil that ensnared the rest of the Fallen as soon as they arrived. Those who was taken by the evil immediately became typical low-level possession demons. Lucifer, seeing Loi'qu's resistance chose a new punishment for him.
Lucifer sent Loi'qu to Chiznah, the mother of all demons. Not in the sense she gave birth to them, she created them out of all things foul, or mutated fallen angels or rotten souls into demons. He instructed Chiznah to teach Loi'qu how to create demons. To force him to watch every painful transformation of a Fallen into a demon, or every intense manifestation of a demon from the pits of Hell. Chiznah obeyed and made Loi'qu watch. She found herself surprised, again by his resiliance to the torturous viewings, and after a time they struck up a friendship.
The friendship rapidly grew into a relationship and before Chiznah could change her feelings she found out she was pregnant in the way of a mortal. Pregnant with a child that would be of half demon and half angelic blood. A demi-demon, a creature being of both good and evil that could, if given a chance tap into enough power to destroy both God and Lucifer.
Chiznah and Loi'qu went into hiding. She gave birth secretly to a daughter, Silver, who she hid. As Chiznah gave birth to Silver, Loi'qu was taken by Lucifer's assassins who had found their hideaway and murdered. Chained to a rock with his eyes scratched out and his wings broken from his back.
When Chiznah was brought to Lucifer he demanded to know where the child was. Chiznah was tortured and finally imprisoned in an iron komode after admitting the child's hiding place in amongst her screams. When Lucifer arrived, Silver had gone. Years later, several gargoyles arrived at Chiznah's prison with the young Silver with them. They had saved her in thanks to Chiznah for giving them life, and they promised to keep her safe.
As Silver grew up she became more and more interested in the human world and humans themselves. Around the time of the witch hunts, Silver had reached her teens (though she was really around 400 years old at this point) and had secretly been living as a demi-demon among humans. With them she had found herself in love with a human man she was to marry and believed she could trust. She told him of her origins, who she was, and even demonstrated what she could do, hoping he would accept her.
To her surprise he did. Or so she believed until she was stripped from her bed the night before her wedding and charged with being a witch. In the crowd was the man she loved and she sobbed as she was tied to the stake. Flames were lit and the crowd jeered. Through the jeering, Silver could hear words that were unfamiliar. She recited them through the smoke and found her sobs disapparating into cackles. The binds that held her to the stake disintergrated and the fire around her didn't burn. Silver saw red, and in a matter of hours the village she had lived in was burnt to the ground all its occupents had either fled or been killed.
Silver returned to Hell where she spent three hundred years taking her betrayed anger out on low level demons who dared to get in her way. She became feared and respected, almost to the same height as Lucifer, who has long forgotten her existance, believing the child of Chiznah to be dead.
After three hundred or so years in the pits of death, Silver grew bored, and felt a longing she hadn’t felt for centuries, to be around humans.
Powers:Throwing Fire. Silver can summon as many fire balls as she likes into her hands and throw them. She can make them consume one another to create a large ball of flame, but this is time consuming, and she doesn’t like to do it.
Throwing Lightning. Similar to throwing fire, Silver is able to draw out crackling balls of pure electricity from her body. This is slightly harder to control than fire, as it is more prone to be an abstract element. Silver can combine both thunder and fire to make a duel elemental ball.
Beserk. Not as such a power. It is a state that Silver can enter (against her will) whenever she feels threatened, rage or her own blood is drawn by someone else. It is something she cannot control. There are several levels of this state. The first is fairly simple and Silver is incapable of feeling pain. She enters fights and can be cut to ribbons but does not feel the pain of it, until the beserk has settled.
The second level is a mid-level. She has no fear of pain or death at this point of herself or of anyone else, and will quite happily attack with her teeth and hands, ignoring her powers and weapons.
The third level is a level Silver has only ever entered once. At this level Silver takes on an kind of anti-Christ-like status, sprouting rotting and deformed wings from her back. Her powers intensify and allow her to throw lightning and fire straight from her hands, while keeping in in her hands so the attack is relentless. In this state, Silver’s eyes turn red and she is unable to distinguish friend from foe. She can be quelled one of two ways. She can either be killed or she can wear her energies out (which doesn’t take long). If she wears herself out enough, she will collapse for an indefinate amount of time.
Skills: Factual recall. Silver is a rather good book of knowledge. If you want to know anything about the history of the Underworld from the last 700 years, she’s the person to go to. She’s also quite good when recalling poisons, antitdotes or nullifiers.
Keyword: hayate
Sample RP: Silver had found herself with a loss of nothing to do. Her roomates had been up at some freakishly early hour, as usual, and she hadn't seen them all morning. She'd wandered rather aimlessly around the school for a few hours. She'd started in the library, and left when it have become too noisy, same with the cafeteria. There had been no point in going to the gym. She didn't feel like being around idiots who had nothing better to do than to flex their muscles and that annoyed her. More muscle than braincells.
So she settled for meandering around the grounds, bored, but in good company with Thanoss on her shoulder. She'd arrived at the front gates, a short distance from the school. She toyed with the idea of leaving the grounds for a while and wandering around the town. But what good would that be? It'd just be boring, like everything else. Too many people, nothing to do. That was the problem with this sleepy little island.
At least in the Underworld, Silver's day had been filled with bloodshed and never-ending hours of killing. At least that had been something to do!
Flopping down on the grass near the gate, Thanoss left her shoulder and hovered above for a moment, string at her with glassy yellow eyes.
"Alright." She nodded slightly, "but don't go far."
