With the weater so gentle and welcoming, it seemed a shame to spend all her time in doors. So, with the sunshine in mind and the gentle breeze, Nimah had opted to take her reports and marking out into the courtyard with her, where she could enjoy some sunshine, and also get her work done.
There were several students about. Most in pairs or trios, all chatting on the grass, also making the most of the good weather, as it would soon change and become windier and colder in a matter of weeks. Several of them greeted her with a smile or a wave. A few of the newer and younger students looked at her shyly with a coy smile, and averted their gaze instantly the moment Nimah returned the gesture.
It was days like this, where she was relaxed and didn't have to focus hugely on the impending doom of the outside world of human vs. meta battles that Nimah was coming to enjoy. But they were also becoming fewer. She was willing to bet one of the faculty members would come along and spoil the day for her by talking at her about the attacks going on outside the school walls. Nimah hoped, for their sake, that they wouldn't.
Selecting a bench which sat on the grass, mostly in sunlight at the moment, but it would be covered in shade in a few hours, Nimah sat down, placing her books and sheets of reports in front of her. She unfolded her wings, letting them rest behind the bench and drape a little on the grass. Crossing her legs,a nd pulling a pen out of her hair where she kept them for safety, Nimah took up one of the school books and flicked it open at the appropriate page.
Her Power Control students, the older ones especially were coming on well. This week, she'd set them a task of examining and evalutating another meta humans powers. They had to do it so the other metahuman was unaware, and she had asked them to write what the power was, why it was useful, and when would be a good example to use, and when wouldn't be. From the books she'd read so far, it had turned out to be quite an interesting excersice, and so far, none of the students had picked the same student's powers to writ about.
Nimah relaxed with a soft sigh against the bench and she began to read through the pages.
